Just wondering if anyone has kept more than one butterfly in their tank. I know two of the same is likely a no-no.  I have a copperband. Would it play nice with a different kind of butterfly?

Anything I have read says no they are aggressive to the same types of fish but I am an amature to saltwater so you might get a better answer from a more experienced person

For most of.them same species are a no no.  Some extend the aggression to others with similar shape/coloration.  Some are fine in groups if introduced together.  So much like other families of marine fish.

Of course the majority of butterfly fish feed mostly or exclusively on corals so very few are suitable for reef tanks.
