So this mOrning before I left for work I went downstairs and turned on my laundry room light. It's enough light to allow me to see the tank without interrupting them sleeping. When I looked over atthe tank ibsaw my clown laying in his side in the sand. Normally, he hosts the corner of my tank next to the powerhead and swims in one spot allllllllll night. So this struck me as abnormal. Shoukd I be concerned? Is this normal? He immediately swam straight up tithe top of the tank and then back down then back up. And ten went to his corner. Hoping he was sleeping.... I'm thinking about discontinuing the moon lights on the tank. Maybe it's too much light And the fish aren't sleeping. Help.

My clown host the corner of the tank as well and he also sometimes lays down like your saying buds... sometimes he will lay up against the glass, half on glass half on the sand when he sleeps.
Ive kept a lot of fresh water fish in my past, but none of them acted as weird as saltwater fish do with their sleeping habits IMO lol...

Id say he is just fine, except maybe being mad at you for waking him... mine is really grumpy in the morning and will attack me even more then other times, funny how they know to go for the webs of my fingers haha... but I get off track.

Cheers

Ha ha ha... this is why my clowns are my favourite fish in the tank. They are very entertaining and will lay around and basically act like little dogs. I have come downstairs at night to see mine laying upside down in the hammer they host. When I first got them it freaked me out thinking the fish was dead and I would turn on the light expecting to scoop out a dead fish but they would right themselves and swim over to see what the hell I was doing with the tank after their bedtime. Iant I agree that they know where to nip. Mine will get the softer skin on the forearm and they always seem to wait until your holding something or have forgotten about them.... then bam! It doesn't hurt but it makes me jump almost every time...little bastards! LOL
