Okay, my clowns are going killing each other. How do i fix it? Continue to read for the long version of the story. Or, just the last bit for my possible solutions.

I have had the pair of Perc's since January, They were young and dumb still identifying there sexuality. They coexisted like brothers (Knee and Moe, I didn't name them, a six year old did), then one became the queen bee(Knee). I introduced a GBT in March, they ignored it for months. They were very happy with the power head and thermometer. In May, Knee discovered the her Nem and since then poor Moe has been getting abused. He has been relegated to the bottom corner with the Zoas. Every time he moves she attacks, first biting his gill covers then what appears to ripping his mouth off. This is not fantasy play, maybe fish do it differently.

Fast forward to this weekend. I thought she finally offed her mate(They are so close in looks that I really didn't know what one disappeared, i was ready of the dire consequences). I was wrong, Moe took his revenge. After months of abuse Moe had enough. Knee disappeared for a few days ... But, I was adding water and noticed a happy little Knee swimming in the overflow. Since I didn't have a small enough net, there I go to Walmart at 930pm looking for a small net to grab them. I fish, what I come to find out is Knee, from the overflow.

Moe has, in the last 2 days, taken up residence in the previously ruled Nem. Knee has returned and is demanding him out. Moe is not leaving, he has found the comfort of a nice soft bed and he is not giving it up. (It is large enough for both, I wish it would just split already). For 2 hours last night, they spent the entire time attacking each other taking turns in the Nem. I went to bed, I have no idea if they made it though the night.

What, if anything, can I do to stop it, they are captive breed Percs from the same shipment;

- I tried cover the Nem, they just took the fight else where.
- I can move the Nem and the clowns to the school tank (110G from 9G), but i think they will still fight.
- I can move one to them school tank, but what one do I move?
- I can find another Nem, but no guarantee either one will move over?

Clowns, can't live with them, can't live with out them.....

I have video, if I can ever figure out how to post.

You could try to shift their attention to something else. I would try putting a mirror to the glass near but not too close to the nem. Hopefully, they will turn their attention to what appears to them another clown trying to invade their territory.
