There is so much cuc diversity in my tank, I don't miss the hermits.
I love my red lynkia and long spined urchin. Both have been with me for a year or so. I had originally planned to keep all my tank's glass clean but I am letting the back grow coralline for the urchin and the film algae for the star. Warning, though, my urchin munches on encrusting corals, and not just the coralline. And he's big! But he's so awesome to watch, I'm keeping him.
I bought a couple of different kinds of turbo snails from Unibob a while back. And different colours of my favourite snails, the nassarius.
Limpets, stomatella snails, brittle stars and bristle worms are making a comeback in my tank after losing them when I dosed with flatwormX more than a year ago. (Lesson learned about chemical solutions to issues.)
I'm looking for a sandsifting star next. My diamond watchman goby stirs up the gravel non-stop. But he also eats what I feed my fish, so I know there'll be enough to sustain both types of sand sifters.
There are 4 shrimp in there, too. 2 bloodshrimp who have paired up, a skunk cleaner shrimp who is out all the time and a small peppermint. The blood and cleaner shrimps eat from my hand.
Does anyone have anything else to suggest?
