Disappearing Post

Just a quick question for the administrative gods here.
I was just curious as to why some post get "locked" like when an item for sale hase been sold (which I get)
And others just vanish completely?
Just wondered if there is a specific criteria or set of circumstances for whether a post gets locked or completely removed?

I am assuming you are meaning in the classifieds. In that section, users are able to lock and delete their own threads. We still see them on our end. Some users just add that the item is sold and we lock them as we see them. Other users lock or delete their own ads. But they are able to recover them if needed. Such as the Ceramic Coral Tower that sidewinder posted. He hid it on Monday and with the reason being it sold. As a rule of thumb, much like a store, if you do not see it, it isnt for sale or is sold.

I just wondered as in light of another conversation, i thought only admin could delete any type of post completely. And now i see i thought wrong lol.

Oh no, only an admin can delete a post completely. When users do it, the post is just 'hidden' for lack of better words and it is only their own classified ads. Oh, and that ability is a fairly new one.

Yes, probably had a new post before it was deleted. Odd phenomenon, I know, because this rarely to never get deleted lol.
