Average portion per day:
- less than 1 cube of frozen Mysis
- 1/2 teaspoon of pellets
- 1x3" of seaweed sheet

for

1 large Yellow Tang
1 large Purple Tang
1 medium Blue Tang
1 large Anthias
2 clowns (well ... now only one :()

About everything gets eaten, except maybe some pellets that are not picked by fish and end up on bottom or rocks.

Do I feed too much? Opinions pls?

I would say that's a lot of pellets daily.. Maybe go for like 1/8th that. And days u feed my sister maybe skip pellets sometimes.

I feed: algae pellets, marine flake, one pinch per day total.

frozen mysis 1x per week

For:
Regal tang, sailfin tang, coral beauty, a green fish, 2x clownfish, hawkfish  and a big wrasse.  I don't have a lot of fish fatalities really either, but all food is gone in 1 minute.

And if Im not lol

brine shrimp is like 99% water with no nutritional value, big als mysis is a great alternative, they are nice and small sized and well priced.

1/4 cube misys or brine (alternating) a pinch of sinking pellets and a pinch of flakes daily. I also drop a rock in with algae wrapped around it every 3 or so days. All for 5 lemon chromis, a foxface, 2 clowns a watchmen goby and a wrasse.

There is very little nutritional value in Brine shrimp.  They should be used to feed finicky fish that WON'T eat anything else.  However, they will never sustain any fish long term and a viable food alternative should be found ASAP.

Feeding only brine shrimp is like giving your fish McDonalds every day....similar to Petercar's diet

;)

Based on BigShow's statement, it looks that you go to McDonalds every day. LOL

I suggest alternating as well. I feed mysis and nori one day, then, NLS pellets and a little flake the next day. Be sure to rinse yor mysis to keep phosphates down. I also agree with Big Show. Brine is only good to help get picky fish to start eating. It has very minimal nutritional value.

Thank you all for input. Hard to compare so much variety of fish and foods, but overall, it looks that I fed my fish little bit too much.

I reduced their daily portion to about 1 pinch of pellets, 1x3" seaweed sheet, and 1/2 of frozen Mysis once a week.

For the first time I saw all three tangs grazing. Should this be a considered a sign that I overfed?

if you don't have any shrimps or hermits get some. they'll take care of the pellets thata drop. you don't want anything going un eaten.  the best food for your reef is rods food. it contains everything, seaweed, large chuncks, small. your done.

Yes I think Tangs grazing is a good thing,I've never fed pellets, I feel bad with Flake so I try and mix it up, Algea Waffers, Mysis, Flake We should all try and mix our own seafood platter.
