First Fairly Large Frag Show!!! Advice

Quick question for all of you who have been around for a while and have been to a few frag shows. I am going to be heading to Niagara for the first real "larger-ish" coral show in the spring. I am trying to create a list of wants and what I am aiming for so I don't get there wandering around forgetting what I was going to buy. This way I can set a budget and get as close as possible.

Here is a list of the stuff I am looking for and I am not really looking for anything "designer" just specific colours I may like. Tell if you think I am out to lunch or if I should be able to find stuff for the prices I have listed. Let me know if you have found stuff even cheaper too.

Flowerpot and Hammers ($30ish ea)
Acans, Chalice's and Favia's ($20ish ea)
Zoas ($5pp)

Also, how do the vendors deal with hagglers? Do they welcome it or is this a no go at a show? :)

Ive knocked some cost off by buying multiple pieces. Price is a bit low on zoas because most people that bring zoa's will bring mostly designer which will fetch more total. If you are looking for some generics you may find them for that price.

I’d always spend a few hundred especially if you’re going out of your way at shows I paid $70 ish for rainbow torches , frog spons I find are normally 30-40 and zoas I would say consider $10-$15 pp and at the end of the day you might have left over money to scoop something near the end (normally when you can make a deal with someone) or save the left overs

Also acans are not very common I’ve seen high end ones (rainbows and stuff ) and normally float around the hundreds for a frag so always bring a little more if you want nice acans I always buy mine from @UltraLPS great guy to deal with and some of the best acans you’ll see

There used to be tons of haggling and discounts. Now not so much. Prices are typically the same as retail now although the more you buy they tend to give better deals. I guess that is the same as retail as well I guess. The main advantage is that you get to see stock/vendors you normally shouldn't have all in one place.

BTW prepare to go over budget lol. We all do.
