so i came home today to find my copperband was stuck to the side of my wp40. when i shut down the pump to feed he floated off all contorted and such. looked sucked dry. its a real shame as he was my fav and super healthy and eating well :'(
Anyone ever have this happen to another fish?

They usually only get stuck in the draft if they are on their way out. A fully healthy fish can swim away from a current and get out of it. That being said, this is all relative to the power head not being hugely disproportionate to the tank and the fish inside of it.

My little 2" damsels never get sucked into the power heads. They seem to be smart enough to not get too close in my experience.

The only fish that got stuck to my power head was a naso tang that never came around in my tank and started looking thin.

Copper bands are notoriously difficult to keep in a home aquarium for any extended period of time from what I gather though. So don't feel bad. lol
