Ive been feeding mine every other day. A couple small mollies and a small glass shrimp.
Anyone have any experience with these. Does that sound right for feeding. He is about med size.
Thanks

Quantity sounds about right, but medium sized is subjective.  There are many different sized Anglers.  You could probably cut back the feeding to every third day as they have very slow metabolism.

A good forum to check is lionfishlair they cover all predatory fish.

Hes a red angler about 3.5 to 4 inches long.
Anything wrong with giving the odd gold fish.

I wouldn't even feed my turtle a goldfish lol, are they not really fatty and unhealthy? Plus they may carry something or other that marine animals are not used to.

Goldfish in particular and possible other feeder fish are FILLED with parasites, most of which marine fish may not be able to kick once contracted....so I would be careful with feeder goldfish. Does it have to be live food, or could you feed a shrimp from a shrimp ring maybe soaked in some vitamin dip.

I would be feeding it sliversides. They are marine species and would be far healthier than fresh water fish.

Here's how to "revive" frozen silversides. I am posting it just because I actually found it quite hilarious.

I'm going to get some frozen silversides and try to feed him those.
I know people do feed goldfish.  Thought the odd one wouldn't hurt.
Maybe I will just throw them in the pond then.
