First time poster, long-time lurker!

I need a little guidance, as I have not been very active with the changing times and advancements in reef keeping and lighting...

Currently, I have a 90gal tank (24" x 48" x 18") with a customized canopy. I have been running VH0s for the last 10-15 years, but now need to upgrade. My lights are pretty much running their last victory lap ;)

While I know LEDs could be the next big thing in reef keeping, I think T5H0s are the way to go for my application.

I currently have 2 Fulham Workhorse-7 ballasts that are powering my VHOs, and am under the impression that these can be used for T5HOs (according to their website). It says that these ballasts can run 4 x 54w lights each.

What I would like to find is an appropriate retrofit kit, that can be mounted inside my canopy. I would like to run 6 x 54w 48" bulbs, maybe even 8 bulbs if possible.

Is anyone using these ballasts for their T5HOs?

I also need to find a retro kit (end caps, stand-offs, reflectors, etc).

In terms of my lighting demands, there is not much going on inside my tank, but a couple clown fish, live rock, and a few "new additions" compliments of Rick. I am hoping to get more corals and even some SPS within the next 4-6 months.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tyler
