Good/bad Dosers?

I've been thinking of picking up a doser for my 90 gal tank and I noticed a few for sale here on the forum. Can anyone advise me on which brands I should AVOID so I don't pick up something I might regret.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have no brand loyalty to anything really. If you want a cheap programmable doser that will do the job go with a Jebao. I’ve had success with all the Jebao equipment I’ve used. If you want something better go with a kamoer.

If you have a controller on your reef grab a BRS doser and run it off the controller.

I typically steer clear of cutting corners on cost on dosers simply because they can nuke your tank potentially. That being said I have not heard much bad about jebao and own several of their pumps and powerheads. I personally have a kamoer and am fairly happy with it.

There is no perfect doser out there. Be sure to read reviews both good and bad. I personally have been a huge fan of Jebao pumps over the years. We all know that they are hit and miss on dependability but cost offsets that. In the case of a doser though, dependability is very important. I have seen tons of reviews where they broke in the on position dumping entire containers of alk into a tank. I personally have used Kamoer in the past. They are a good middle line of dependability and cost. I currently use GHL Doser 2.1 and it has been my favorite, but with that comes a higher price tag.
