Help Hammerhead coral / brown jelly

So Im pretty sure I have some brown jelly forming on just one polyp, and if so can I just cut off that one polyp from the head save the rest of the head?
Ive never come across brown jelly before so any info would help!

what do you mean by brown jelly? do you have pics? if its on the trunk could be just diatoms

Alright well thanks for the reply but here's a laugh for anyone else out there reading this... I over reacted (odd for this hobby eh lol) i tuned out to be a piece of flake food that looked more brown then red stuck to the polyp lol.. oh well it happens right?
