Help Macro

any help on i.d.ing this macro? got it from a guy shutting down. he also had no idea what it is. spent hours searching the web and marine biology sites and no help. it is somewhat calcareous and firm . it was growing on a return manifold and am trying to grow it to rocks.
any help would be awesome

never mind a Dr at the university of Hawaii and identified it for me. It's codium edule. apparently rare in the aquarium trade.
