how much sand should i use

How much sand should i use in my new 75 gal with 60 gal sump. Im not putting any in my sump this time so just in display. looking for it to just be a coral tank with maybe a fish or 2 and definatly a jawfish. im thinking 3 inches? that good.

3 inches would be good for sand dwellers without creating an anaerobic zone that could produce hydrogen sulfide gas
