New addition! :D gorgeous species and I got lucky enough to score one. Picture was him dripping yesterday but after I got home today, he is out actively swimming and snapping at chunks that float past him. Was eating mysis in store so I'm hopeful for this little guy!

I saw a nice big one at a store. He was lying on his side looked not to good. Unless that's how they rest.

I saw an angel with a whitish coating on it as well

There was a big one in the tank next to this guy that was doing the same thing lying sideways under the air pump. He was huge. This guy was much more active and eating and more size appropriate so I'm happy about him :)

Good luck trying to keep a school of them. They will eventually widdle themselves down to a pair. Maybe if you had a massive tank.

I have a few for sale, all been through QT and are eating all foods. Price is $180

Also, I should mention that they are a deepwater anthia and will spend most of the day in the rock work.

Can verify they spend most of their time in the rocks. I thought I lost him when I saw the tank today and had to do some serious searching before finding him wedged in a rock.

This may also be a sign of a decompression issue which can be quite common with this species

Yes good point ! If they are brought to the surface too quickly, they can experience air bladder issues
Never buy one that is having trouble swimming or can't seem to balance itself
