Intank Media And Fuge Baskets For Biocube

I heard about these in another forum and they sound really cool. Many people saying how great they were.

They are rather expensive though. I'm sure I could rig something up myself for a fair bit cheaper but then I have to think do I really want to spend the time to do that. LOL

Have any of you tried these and if so what did you think of them?

I think @J_T from JT Custom acrylics has made similar for a member here. They do wonders if that is the route you want to go

OK Thanks. I'll definitely keep that in mind. I think this is the route I want to go. Just trying to figure out the most cost effective way with minimal effort to do so.

I have these in my biocube. I can't grow cheato in that fuge if my life depended on it.. As the tank ages that may change.

How do you like the media basket for filtration? That is the section that I'm most interested in.

It works. If I didn't have this already I would seriously consider doing a diy algae scrubber with filter floss at the first point of overflow to collect large particles, etc. Keep the water volume lower in the back chamber and devise something to hold Chemi-pure blue at the point where the middle section is open to the return section. My system is working well for me now though so no sense in changing it.
