i went to British Columbia recently to visit family and i spent a day at the Vancouver aquarium in Stanley park... simply amazing!
I INSIST if your in BC that you need to visit....
anyway, there main exhibit is a series (20+ 600 gallon tanks) of the coastal waters just off the shore of British Columbia... were the waters are close to 10 Celsius if not colder all year long.... but the life in these tanks simply amazes me!!!! i had no idea such brilliant and colorful life existed in such cold water.... there where larger and more colorful aneomes and urchins and starfish than i've ever seen in warm water...
i took a few pics, but nothing special... i was thinking maybe we should have a category where people can post pics of public aquariums they've been too etc... I got some cool photos from when I went to a different public aquarium in the netherlands as well...
just a thought
