leaking fittings

i got some inch and half bulkheads leaking and the thread in bushings    i used teflon tape ..do i wrap them with a few more layers of teflon tape of is there a tube ?  i have 3 bulkheads  2  are  dripping  a bittish  so i might as well do all 3

Which tape you using, the one on a blue roll or a yellow role.  Yellow is thicker stuff.  More wraps won't hurt anything.

For Bulkheads I used Silicone on the surfaces sealign to the glass.  Sure you shouldnt need to but what does it hurt to blob a bead of silicone around everything.

There is a bushing goin Iinto bulkhead then another bushing then a slip bushing that has the pipe glued into  its jot leaking on the glass

give them an extra crank on there they should be alright , I wouldnt use any silicone makes a mess on the back of a brand new tank and would be a pain if you ever needed to take them off , the tape and being screwed right should work no problems . My bulkheads were leaking but I gave them a little bit of a turn and they still dripped a bit but salt creeped in and dried up now theres no more leak .

i went over to the river  and got the blue monster teflon tape  so im pulling the 3 bulkheads all out and warp them in that tape and tighten the bitches right up

I find those fittings are not good for multiple uses

the only things from miracles i got was nothing  the bulkheads are from  BRS

bulkheads can be used however many times you need to use them , only thng i would suggest is replacing the gasket if your re-using them . but after 3 days of being on this wont need to be done . dont tighten them to much peter . What fittings are you meaning pulp ?

i took all 3 out of the overflow and wrapped them 3 times with blue teflon tape  ..its all good now  no leaking  now  ;D

I've been using a plumbers dope  call big blue for 2 years plus now ,not a single leak,and disassembled neatly

Ya ...day 4 and not a drip anywhere... :?
