LED system is finally in place, the entire tank running all the lights and pumps etc is 480W, it used to be ~900.  The best part?  The tank temp dropped 4 deg.  I was always tipping 83+ in the summer, and had considered a chiller.  Now I'm a steady 79 deg, in fact the heater came on 2 days ago for the first time since feb.  I have 7 heatsinks for the LEDs and just put on 4 big PC case fans, they're now running cool, no heat in the canopy at all.  I did so many heatsinks so that I could direct the lights a lot better than if I did one or two big sinks.

Just thought some might be interested in the heat issue, my old setup had metal halides and power compacts

I have 84 bulbs now on 7 heatsinks. Here are shots of the canopy (lots not done like getting the wires out of the way, and adjusting angles just right) and a few shots of the corals under the blue bulbs.
