This is how I run mine. The previous radions I owned I ran similarly as well.

Coral Lab AB+ 60% template with modified start of 1pm so that we can enjoy it more when we are home and active.
How long are your lights on? Mine around 15 hours a day but very low intensity for 5/6 hours. No algae in the tank solid grown from all corals. Lights come on around 7am when my alarm goes off and shut off completely at 10:30

Personally if your not home it see the lights why have them on so early? It would just shorten the life span imo , even if it is on low, it’s still on . I run my lights 2pm - 10pm
But they aren’t radions . I’m a cheap guy and the longer I can make something last the better , just my 2 cents :)

It depends on the hours I’m home. Some days I’ll be home by 12 other days I’ll be home at 5. I’m not overly concerned with shortening the light by a few hours to get an extra 2 months of use out of it long term. I’ve never actually owned an led light to the point where I felt the need to replace it anyways as I was no longer getting the readings I want. In reality I’ll probably sell this light or replace it within 3 years anyways

Anyways go to an area by any reef. Lights come on around 6:30am and shut off around 9:30-10:00 (sun cycle). Not saying it does any good for your corals but definitely doesn’t do any harm. I’m sure the extra few hours allow for some more growth.

Mine are on from 1:00pm to 11:00pm daily. No point in them being on earlier. I would rather enjoy the tank while I am at home then only an hour or two before lights out.
