Or how much light intensity corals need to grow really good!
I accidentally ran into an article on light intensity and water clarity's impact on coral growth. Part of the study done by 4 scientists in the florida keys showed at what light level photosynthesis was most productive for corals, which are shallow water inhabitants by nature. Here are the three charts most relevant to us.
What it tells me is, I want to give my corals about 300-700 umols (insert character) to get close to optimum photosynthesis levels. This I'd imagine is most important for SPS keepers. LPS and softies won't require as much.
