monker I would sugggest you go to a local vert and talk with him for a minute expplain what it will be used for and see if you can get some from them , there 2 different sized pills also so take that into consideration when dosing it to the tank . What exactly do you need it for ?

For those that may not know it's used for an in tank treatment for redbugs.

I got some from my vet, just explain what you need it for. Cost me about 10 bucks for a pill- which was good for 3-5 treatments.

Ya i got a case of redbugs going on in my tank, thought id ask everyone maybe something pops up, Looks like il have to call around and see if any vets have anything! :-X Maybe have to book my dog an appointment.....?
How many treatments do you think all need?
Theres two different sizes of pills? Large dogs and small dogs? two different mg?
My system is around 130 gallons!

Go to your vet and ask for it.
If you don't have a vet, I am sure any vet would give it to you if you explain what you need it for.
Ask the for the pill for large dogs that is the largest one that is available and you can split it in four, mash it up and mix with some salt water from your tank.
Let it go for about 24 hours then put some fresh carbon in your system and maybe do a 10 percent water change f your worried.
I had redbugs and things were fine after the first treatment, but I treated 3 times as recomended to ensure they were gone.
They are really hard to see, so I would bet lots more people may have them without even knowing it.

[/quote]This is wrong......the reason vets are cautious about giving out interceptor is that if a dog who has bad heart worm takes this medication it could KILL the dog. It is a preventative medication to heart worms. YES there is a large dog and regular/small dog pill......well I only know for certain about the large dog one cause that is all I have used in the past.

The size of the pill is based on mg/kg for the mass of the dog that takes the medication. i.e two different dosages

>4 to 11 kg
