How have I not seen these pumps until today. Maxspect came out with a new pump, the Maxspect Turbine Duo DC. Come to think of it, I remember a small part of MACNA 2017 tour videos, I will have to check out YouTube.
Talk about potential benefits though. It can be used as a stand alone pump with one in and one out. It can be used as 2 in and 2 out with so many attachments that can either be used to feed reactors or combined for more GPH in one return or even left as 2 separate returns all while using almost half the electricity. Get this, it actually comes will ALL the attachments you could ever want for any configuration suggestions. They also claim to be virtually silent. I can not wait to see more about them. There are only a few Canadian retailers that have them available at this point. I contacted Ian at Sustainable Marine Canada who said he has one and will be adding it to one of his store display set ups. His last update email has him so close to an official opening. He is setting up one of these and we will be able to see it in action.
Only an internal pump, NOT to be used externally.
The best part is the price range. I thought my new pump selection was set at a Vecta M1 for my return. If these are as good as they claim while running almost $100 less for more GPH and lower electricity use, I may have to start up a new pro and cons list.
