Hi so I just bought a torch coral from Canada's corals and I placed it on the sand bed and I just noticed a white "feather" going in and put of it. Any thoughts? Image below.

There is a thing that looks like a small white feather coming in and out of the mouth of the new torch coral that I put in my tank yesterday. I googled and it seems like it is called a barnacle.

There seems to be a difference of opinion online as to whether I should try to take this out of the torch coral's mouth. If so, how can I do that? Thanks again, Janice

Maybe. Or it also might be Mojave or Aiptasia. It'll be a challenge I'm sure, but try and get a pic out.

I have the same thing on my torch, I just leave it, it's never hurt it.
