Has anybody or does anybody have an issue with salt not disolving. I wad mixing up a batch and tested it this morning so i had to use some regular IO salt to top it up, but i cant even remember how old it is..it waa kinda clumpy when i dumped it in.
but it just wont disolve been sitting here for 15 mins tiring and trying to not let the salt settle but everytime i stop it settles again. Water isnt cold its actually to warm. At about 85-90 somewhere in there. Any suggetions.

Not a big fan of IO salt because it's not the easiest to mix up.

Normally any time I mix salt. I drop a air stone and power head in the bucket for about half an hour. And always seems to mix up nice a clear with no unmixed salt in it

My salt mixes within 10 min everytime, and I use IO salt. But a mag 12 will speed up that process every time. lol

:D

The left side is the closed loop for salt water for water changes, the right tank is the RO/DI water holding tank for top offs or to eventually move to the left tank for water changes.

thats awesome lookin tony, you have that set up in your apt?

Lol, yes, in my laundry room. It got ass backwards lucky that I have the room for those containers. It is the only unit in the building (I live on the ground floor) that has this much space in the laundry room. Mind you I have let it over flow twice or thrice and it causes havoc in the living room but at least it is clean water. lol.

They are each 65 gallon drums, so they hold plenty of water for top up and for water changes.

I have no idea how I changed the water before I built this thing. I have this setup and it still is a huge pain in the ass for me to change the water.... lol. My salt mix is always ready to go at a moments notice, yet I am just that lazy....

Nice WC station!

Some of us don't have the space for a set up like this.

I just use a old hagen 802 power head and air pump and it usually takes about 30mins to mix up IO salt.

I've recently switched salt and it takes 10mins.  But I still mix and add air for 30mins to allow the mix to stabilize.  I've done testing, and mixing for longer doesn't affect it at all(PH, and salinity.  Just gets cooler.
