More Sh***y Service

This past February (5 months a go) I bought a new bubble magnus curve 9 skimmer from Living Aquarium in Cambridge. I've had previous poor service from them in the but they where the only local place I could find one. So I got it, this past weekend the skimmer stopped working, the impeller had broke so I went in there with my 5 month old skimmer and they looked at me and said I'm on my own yo contact them. They wouldn't give me contact info or anything just said that sucks but deal with them. They gladly took my cash when I wanted them to call them and order it for me but now they couldn't give a s**t.
I went on their Web site but can't find a phone number so I sent them a email but I'm still waiting for a response fron bubble magnus.
In the end i would never reccomened anyone to get anything from them and will never spend abother penny at those fools store.

oh crap, that is horrible... have you contacted the manufacture, I would try them and tell them the service or lack of that you got...good luck...

You have to remeber they are the middle man between everything , you can't expect them to fix your problem , but I do agree that the fact they can't even give you a number to contact them , Rick and Steve are very good guy and know their shit. Tbh we are lucky that they are even open to the public they are a big distributer to stores all around for fish . Again it sucks that can't even give you the number ...

On a side note I've read some reviews on this and it seems like there isn't a phone number for customer suport and you have to do email, and we all know how long this takes , I find it's bs if you paid all that money and it broke already . Hope you get one asap ,

There is no excuse for poor service. the least they could have done was get you the e-mail. AND if this is what the manufacturer is like maybe they should drop that product line. In store service should never be poor, but manufacturer service is the backup to the LFS customer service. If the manufacturer doesn't get back to you right away, then tell every one.

If they can't fix the problem they can at least help me in contacting whoever can help me with it. In my opinion they are idiots... when I was starting out 5-6 years a go they sold me a flag fin angle and a torch coral to add to my 30 gallon tank...

Was that bought in the States or Canada ? U.S. Law is 3 month warranty ALL electronics. Canadian law is 1 year warranty for all electronics. Thus the higher Canadian cost for goods. BUT ! if if breaks in less then a year .......................

correct, they are only the middle man but they are the main contact for the product... they should at least get you the info for the company or why can they not order the part as a token of good faith...when I get good customer service I tell everyone...and when its bad service you tell twice as many...

Similar experience with living aquarium years ago, love to take your money but when there is any problems they turn a blind eye, it is incredible to me this place is still in business. Boycotted this place years ago because the crappy after sales service.

Well unibob says he can help me so it sounds like those clowns didn't even make a attempt. I definitely won't be spending another dime there.

Ya I'm shocked theit still in business... when you walk in there it looks like a unorganized storage unit lol

The place is gross. The prices on any hardware are INSANE. Brick and mortar stores complain about online all the time, yet do nothing to keep customers coming in to pay that premium. NO clue how they are still in business.
