I agree, if you are set on the gyre, don't compromise, you will regret it and reef supply is a great place, its my go to first...

You will love it. I got the 150 about a month ago and just love the thing. I run Pulse at about 50% day and switch to Forward and Reverse in the evening when I remember. You will love the SNOW STORM when you first plug it in.
Good Luck and enjoy.

I thought maxspect warns against using in pulse mode unless your tank is Euro braced?

I don't get a wave going I have it so it will turn on for 5 to 10 sec. and then it will stop for the same amount of time. It's quite nice because when it stops you get a swirl going across the bottom. Its the wave action that puts the most stress on the Tank.
