Ok so I'm curious if anyone has any experience with this skimmer. It works great but I feel as tho it can work even better. I have it in 8 " water. Running a mag 9 on it but the only way I can get the water level close to operational I have to have the valve almost completely closed. Water trickles out. Any tips or something?

I have no history with them, but the manufacture suggests a SEN 700 pump which runs at 700gph @ 0 feet. Pretty sure the Mag9 runs around 900gph, maybe a little too strong of a pump?

By looking at the way it's working I'd say it needs a more powerful pump. You would have to see it.

Just move it a little deeper , willbring the waterlevel up in the skimmer, open the valve to compensate

agreed...

as far as the pump is concerned, it sounds like more of a pressure issue than flow

did you buy it brand new? If not try servicing the air injection system (vinegar bath over night should help) - heres a video on how to dismantle that thing.

have you verified your MAG 9 is running without any issues as well?

if that doesnt help give them a call, 201-444-7165 - they are located in New Jersey, ugh.
