Finally today I managed to get a video of my seahorses chasing their food in my main seahorse tank. I have several powerheads in there moving the food around and at one point they are all clustered around the Koralia 1400 and swimming into the current. It shows very well that seahorses can swim against a fairly strong current if they choose. They particularly like that powerhead and cluster around it more than the other two that are only 240s.
Also in the video you can see two of the males are pregnant. They are certainly active.
This is my oldest living seahorse, Chrissie. She was approximately 2 years old when I purchased her and I have had her since 2012. She loves to follow my progress in the room by staying at the top of the tank and focusing wherever I go. If I put my finger in the tank she hitches to it readily. she has also appointed herself "Guardian of the babies" and closely monitors all of the newborn fry as I take them out of the tank.
