Finally today I managed to get a video of my seahorses chasing their food in my main seahorse tank. I have several powerheads in there moving the food around and at one point they are all clustered around the Koralia 1400 and swimming into the current. It shows very well that seahorses can swim against a fairly strong current if they choose. They particularly like that powerhead and cluster around it more than the other two that are only 240s.
Also in the video you can see two of the males are pregnant. They are certainly active. :)

This is my oldest living seahorse, Chrissie. She was approximately 2 years old when I purchased her and I have had her since 2012. She loves to follow my progress in the room by staying at the top of the tank and focusing wherever I go. If I put my finger in the tank she hitches to it readily. she has also appointed herself "Guardian of the babies" and closely monitors all of the newborn fry as I take them out of the tank. :)

Thanks everyone. I always enjoy watching them chase the food and catch it. All of the white seahorses in the video started out as black and white until they went into this tank. Their mother is white and at first I was so disappointed that all of the babies were black and white. I thought some of them would be white or light colored from the beginning. Little did I believe they would change once they got into my tank. I had been told they might but I didn't quite believe it until I saw it for myself. :)

Thanks for the articles, I have copied them and will read them when I get a chance.
I don't know if anyone has kept mangroves with seahorses but the idea sounds intriguing.

Yesterday I decided it was time for some more updated photos of my seahorse tank. The first one is a full tank shot of my adult tank. Taken from that far away it is sometimes difficult to see that seahorses are even in there (there are 16 at the moment) but then we move closer...

One of my big males. He is about 7-8 inches long now and about 1.5 inches from belly to back.

Strangely enough this is one of their favorite perches. It is a Koralia 1400 and they love it. Sometimes I find most of them all hitched on this at once. :)

And finally one full tank shot of my 75 gallon full of juvenile males. Also attached to this system are a 60 gallon full of females and 5 ten gallon tanks with more males.

All of those perches and the majority of them are clustered together on the same one!
