could you maybe get some food grade pails so that you would be able to mix/store more..I have some extra's here if you are interested.. another thing, if you have the room, I grab some salt brine containers for mixing salt and they are working out really well, I have 2, one for reef crystal and one for instant ocean... the price was right too, free...

So thanks to jerry today for coming over and testing my water. Found out i was just reading the test wrong i was looking at low range so it was really tellin me 5-10 ppm, not 50-100 lol. Now to start dosin tech m for the bryopsis and hope its the bryopsis irritating the acros. If its not i have no idea what causing my acros to do this.

I think that is a good example of why retesting is important (as several people suggested) before doing anything drastic... good thing you didn't go crazy with addressing a problem that turns out wasn't there. :)

No problem. I do think the algae has a factor here, as the acros that seem to be affected the most were surrounded by algae. Get that m tech going and go from there, manual removal will help the m tech as well. Your fish may take a liking to any new growth as well if you starve them a bit.
