Hey all. Currently my lighting consists of 2-150w pheonix 14000k metal halide running in a Current sunpod fixture, and 1 t5 ho actinic and 1 t5 ho 10000k running on a Current retrofit fixture(bulbs came with the retrofit kit) 48" so 54w per bulb. My tank is a 55gallon, 20" tall.

I am looking for suggestions on what I should replace the bulbs with. The metal halides are good, recently replaced. Im curious on what brand and type you guys think I should use. Also what sort of timeing schedule would you use with my configuration.

thanks alot

you might want to run your timing sched. around the hydro we all are going to have to turn our tanks on later at night so it wont cost us to much.

the pheonix bulbs are good bulbs to use as for the t5 you should use ATI bulbs.

I would defiantly stick to majoer brand names such as ATI, Giesemann, UVL, KZ, Aquascience etc. As far as choosing a spectrum goes... that entirely up to your personal taste.

Do you want more growth? Do you want your corals to really glow? Do you want your Reds/Pinks/Purples to appear more red Red/Pink/Purple?
