i picked up a 6" blue throat a week ago and he won't eat. He won't hide either! He swims around and is a beast, but his stomach is now getting flabby from starving.

I've tried mysis, krill and reef frenzy and it literally rolls off his face. Every other fish is a pig and destroys all the food I put in.

I'm starting to get concerned here. I've never had this happen with a trigger.

Try fresh scallop pieces - generally works
If not, it might have a disease

Have you tried soaking the food in something like AminOmrga by BrightWell? Something like this has a stong aroma and triggers a strong feeding response most times. Try Mysis or some mussels. Those shout trigger at least something. It could have an internal parasite. Did it ever eat?

Also try hatching some live brine shrimp to illisit a feeding response. Put a heater at 81 for temp to speed the growth rate.

If it is internal parasite you might need some medicated food. Watch your other fish for signs.

Nothing. I tried garlic soaked everything. I fed the tank so the food hit his face. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

There's no way I can catch him in there, so I'm gonna pray that hunger overrides his angst.

Im having a similar problem getting my new regal angel to eat, but its only been 4 days now. Im hoping he'll eat something soon. Hes fat which is good, but theres nothing for him to graze in my tank. Im wondering if my goof f$#king yellow tang is stressing him out too much.
