well the tank has been up and running for around a month now, and nothing has died lol. Algae is coming into the rocks and the tangs are cleaning it up pretty well. I'm going to look at some cuc members soon. A couple of conch and some more snails.

I've also got a bunch of pods showing up in the fuge from the chaeto I got from MR.TMAH. I saw 5 in a space the size of a quarter so they hopefully will breed.

I also have quite a bit of cyano showing up on the rocks in the refugium. Not sure if this is normal or part of the tank still establishing itself.

I've begun dosing Kalk in my ATO as well as adding some 2 part.

I'll be testing tomorrow and establishing a baseline for the numbers. I may or may not start with gfo as well, depending on the PO4 reading.

Any tips?

Cyano is normal in a new tank, just let it run its course. And your not adding your 2 part into the ATO are you?? Sorry i may have just misunderstood what you said lol.

Off to a great start.

If you really want your pod population to explode. Start feeding some green water to the sump two or three times a week.

How long are you running your fuge lights for? I also forgot, what type of light?

Lol
Wasn't sure. Some people run their fuge for 24/7 which definitely would've increased the chance for cyano.

Your fuge will eventually stop growing cyano. I had the same issue for the first 4-5 months the fuge was set up. Once it matures, the cyano will disappear

BTW the green water will explode your pod population with regular feedings.

Did you add another bottle of pods, or just what came off the chaeto I gave ya?
