I tried them but in fairness not the full recommended amount.  I saw no measurable drop in Nitrates but again my very old system/substrate/rock has proven to be very resistant to change.  I started with them in a reactor with an airline plumbed in.  When I was not seeing any results, I switched to the recommended "bomb" in one of my overflow boxes.  Where I didn't get the nitrate reduction I was hoping for, merely some stabilization, I still like the theory behind them and one worthwhile bonus is that the overflow box that the bomb is in is teeming with a huge colony of Mysid shrimp. the bacteria on the cubes seems to supply a good food source for their fry.

They may be more effective in a more "normal" environment and they didn't cause the Cyano blooms that I have gotten with bio-pellets, I believe due to the fact that they broadcast less carbon into the general system, rather letting the bacteria propagate in the pores of the cubes.  I would have loved to try again at the full recommended dosage but their biggest drawback is their price when dealing with a very large system.

im going to run the full 4 ml per gallon, i need about 680ml. i didn't find the price bad compared to pellets really, and when u figure they are also supposedly dropping phos in tanks better then pellets and gfo "this is only from experiences ive read on other forums" u can also save on buying gfo. We will see. i hope to have them running tomorrow as u need to soak them for 24 hours.
As a side note i saw some are saying u soak them in tap water and not RO water? seems odd but i guess they need phosphates to actually perform their job.

I ran a sulphur denitrator for years, works great and kept my no3 less than 1 ppm, but with nitrates less than 1 ppm it would bacteria bloom after a few months and need to be cleaned, and had no effect on po4 so I switched to dosing vinegar which dropped my no3 even further but has had no positive effect on po4, actually po4 has gone up as I am running twice as much GFO to maintain it at @ 0.06 ppm, so I am weaning off the vinegar and going back to the denitrator (about half the size) when no3 begins to rise, I also found that my filter socks clog with bacteria and I have to change them every 2 days and carbon dosing had little effect on the micro algae on the glass.

Today's test
Nitrate is approx 25ppm on salifert and in that range on read sea kit also
Phosphates to my surprise read  .02 pm on Hanna checker. Yesterday they were .03 I turned off my Gfo as there needs to be phos in the system for the cubes to work. I picked up the reg cubes not titanium. Will whatch levels and get a pic of the setup tomorrow. They are currently soakin in tap water as per instructions

So day after start levels are 25ppm salifert and .03 phosphates. I did a large water change 40 gallons and thought levels would actually be brought down by this alone but nope.

so still no change in params, however i have notice a couple of my sps are getting nicer colour, lkely due to te larg water change and not the bio cubes. i wasnt expecting them to work rightaway just thought id post results to see exactly how long it takes. they claim they start working in 7 days and can bring nitrate down from 50ppm to 0 in 14 days  im running about 7-750ml which is a tad below the reccomended amount. didnt want to shock the system with a reduction that fast if they stand true

Tested again last night, phos hasn't moved a bit but I do see I diff in colour on the salifert kit. It's not a clear 25ppm anymore more like between 15-25.... Maybe wishful thinking;) but my sps all had wicked PE last night. The blue sps is colouring up excellent and showing new growth via diff colour edges:) time will tell but these cubes may actually b doing something
