How many of you run bio pellets or nitra guard biocubes ? I see lots of mix reviews on bio pellets and not much on the cubes

I used nitra guard. But once my first batch exhausted itself. I never replaced it.

I basically used it to control nitrates before my fuge was mature enough to handle the bio load. Now that my fuge is in full swing. I have no need for the nitra guard anymore.

Currently po4 at 0 and no3 at 1ppm

I am running Nitra Guard Bio cubes and feel they have helped keep my nitrates down. They aren't a 0 but are under 10ppm but I feed heavily and have very fat happy fish. I started with less then recommended amount for my 110gallona total water volume I started with only 500ml and never increased. I learned and found a lot of info on them on another forum Marine Aquariums South Africa. My google searches led me there where I became well informed and talked to others who had been using them successfully for quite a while. I had tried bio pellets and was not happy with results I was seeing this is why I made the switch.

Nitra guard worked great for me. My nitrates were 160+ I run 2 bombs of Nitra guard and still am, they have turned completely black now, my nitrates have been steady at 0 for quite a while.. took a few months to get it under control.. great product.

Also for some reason if you give the bomb a shake here and there you may see a great feeding response from your coral. I noticed this when working in my sump and they got moved around a bit. I then read on Marine Aquarium South Africa that some of the other Nitra Guard users had found the same thing. Not saying give a violent shake.
