Nounting A Monti

yesterday I got a fairly large piece of monti and I would like to mount it to the glass of the tank.. never done so not sure how, should I mount it to a small piece of egg crate, I need your help...

Heath I used magnets to mount mine. I bought the at home hardware and they look like this.

awesome and thank you, when you frag (?) the red one I want a piece of that too...:)
Go to walmart and get a cheap cleaning magnet that's used to clean your glass on the aquarium. Glue it to it and then put on your tank

Get the small one
If the glass is too thick the small one may not hold it once the coral is on. I tried a couple sized magnets unsuccessfully and found the one from home hardware works well and hasn't harmed anything in my aquarium in the 2 years.

That might be a good idea to just glue to the the glass cause mine is encrustimg on the Glass anyway

I grew mine off an old circ pump magnet. I think there was some chatter about that in another thread. Started it on my 120 long tank.

good plan, I do have magnets from an old wp40... how did you get the different colours together... that is beautiful...
Glue and just wedging gently. It grew from a small red frag to several plates of red. From there I just glued the purple and green above it and wedged in the green in the middle. Once that took I placed the middle purple and just let nature take its coarse
