well I did it. A lot of research went into this decision. I ordered a 30" lifereef skimmer and upgraded the Venturi to a mazzei. I ordered it now to get in the line for 2015. I spoke to Jeff a few times and it's clear he knows his stuff. I haven't read a bad word in hours of Internet research and it should suck a ton of gunk out of my tank. Now do I go zeo? Lol

I'm using a reef octopus 150 and I cant get my phos down. I'm doing 30 gallon wc a week which is about 20% and I still have algae. Really frustrating. I'm feeding a lot less and even with phos ban running I'm losing. My lights may be on too long. How do i lower the Phos? A fuge might be my only option

The skimmer was 599 and I upgraded the Venturi for 80

Yeah it takes a bit to get p04 down, especially if its been high for a long time that could make your rock and sandbed leach p04 aswell..just give it time. How much gfo are u using in the reactor?

The small container. Rated for 150 g in a vertex reactor. I'm gonna add half again. Coralline is spreading well now. Just algae on back glass and sides. I usually just scrape it and it gets skimmed out

My 90 gallon isn't drilled and i didn't want to chance drilling it and I purchased a prefilter box from LifeReef. I wanted an overflow that j could truely trust in the event of power outages. I have been running it for a year and a half now and never once failed to start flowing after power outage. Jeff really does know his stuff and once I am ready to do a big build reef tank I too will be going with one of his skimmers as well. You will be very happy with the quality of the build of LifeReefs products. What I liked the most dealing with Jeff was he wasn't quick to just sell me something. He took his time with me explained his products to me and made sure I got what I needed for my build.

I ended up grabbing am MRC MR3 off kijiji for 280 INCLUDING a mag 24 pump. Problem was.... The injector unit was a horses rear. It looks to have been "home made" and leaked air AND had no silencer AND NO UNIONS to actually get it off. I called MRC and spoke to Jeremy. He hooked me up with the real MRC INJECTOR UNIT and I also picked up a size 4 waste container.

I gave them my fedex number and it got here overnight. Craftsmanship is excellent.

I glued up my new connectors to the pump and am now letting it cure.

I had to remove the skimmer from my sump to install the new parts and let me tell you... The gunk in the collection cup was thick and nasty. The algae is vanishing in my tank at a great rate now and my PE is amazing on my sps. The torches and silver hammer are big and full and my fish are happy because of the extra food lol.
