pistol shrimp with goby

Well i bought a pistol shrimp and a yellow watchman goby...  Needless to say they don't like each other.    BUT ... tp my surprise my red firefish is living with the shrimp... pics to come.

firefish is a goby as well technically. Most gobies enjoy living in "dens".

yes the red firefish uses the shrimp den while sleeping.. but in daytime its not with the shrimp..... i think ill look for another goby yet agian.

the dart fish is probably intimidating the goby.

i agree , remove the dartfish and most likely the two will pair or you will end up with another goby who wont pair , if the dartfish is using the same den the shrimp is in then the gobies will not go near it .

I read a few forum's where the goby and dart fish share the cave and become friend's.

maybe wait a bit, if they are not fighting and see.

imo when I had the pair, the goby was the aggressive one, that would chase other fish away.

when the coast is clear the shrimp will come out, to make lots of tunnel's under the rock work for each other.

maybe when there is more tunnel's, the dart fish might choose his favorite den, while the goby and shrimp share the rest of the tuneel's.
