Got my bulbs in the mail today from plusrite. Ordered two 250 watt 20k bulbs.
Packaging was great, stuffed full of popcorn. Bulbs arrived in tact!
The bulbs have no markings on them however to indicate temperature. Neither does the box.
Installed the bulbs and fired up the ballast. Holy bright!!!! They are twice as bright as the older bulbs! I have way more shimmer in the tank which tellz me the light is penetrating the water alot more.
The bulbs started really blue and eventually turned blueish white. I must say im very pleased with the look. Id prefer a slightly more blue tinge but the wife loves it and as u all know a happy wife is a happy life! Lol. As time moves on ill repost about growth, algae growth, pros and cons. But after s/h and brokerage fees it cost 70 bucks. 35 a piece, not too bad!!! Next time ill order 4-6 bulbs at 13 a piece and s/h. Makes more sense....

if you want a bluer look, maybe supliment with some actinics?
