Pros- look cool, take up little space, cheaper to light, rimless is easier to accomplish

Cons - not able to put a lot of larger fish in the tank most require 6' or more, some times harder to reach the center, less straight on view-able area,More expensive per gallon than rectangle. stands could be more expensive as well.

IMO they can allow more creative aquascaping, compared to similar volume rectangular tank. Pretty hard to get creative with a 12" wide tank

I love my new 93 cube. Always had 72" tanks but this one allows much nicer aquascaping. Did have to get rid of the larger fish, though my larger Sailfin is really happy still. Lighting is like 1/3 the cost of a 72" tank.. An average pendant can light 2' to 2.5' square , depending on height, and with LEDs if you get the right intensity, you can literally have one fixture instead of 3. I am having to be creative about flow though.. Linear flow is hard to accomplish at the levels you need in a Reef of that volume without blowing sand everywhere.

I have been looking everywhere for a nice 60 cube the less expensive brands are 1,000 and the more expensive starphire are closer to 2,000. I need to make a decision. Aqua inspirations has reef ready stand, sump and tank in the middle of the two prices. but I believe they are like the fusions with the sump in the back which isn't a problem other than it cuts the actual tank volume down and is not as clean looking (80 gallon) assume 20 0f that is the sump at the back

I've always been a fan of the cube style tank.
Not sure what it is. I think even the footprint is attractive to me as well. Less wall space lost.

I picked up what I thought was a nice cube tank on the weekend from this forum.
Build to follow at some point as I will be replacing my Solana with double the water capacity.
Wife seems to be ok with the cube tanks too which is always a blessing!
