Purigen

Thought i would save a few bucks and buy 250ml and a filter bag instead of 2x100ml prebagged. Unfortunately, the filter bag is not quite fine enough to keep the purigen in. Does anyone know any diy materials i could use? I've read women's nylons, but i assume, like filter bags, they're not all the same either. Looking for something proven, not just theoretical :)

Why not get the pre-bagged and keep regenerating? I have 2 bags that I rotate.
Is there a reason to use new Purigen after a period of time?
Got me thinking. Hoping someone can advise us both.......

I'm in the same boat with the purigen. Found a mesh bag but some still sneak out. Will have to splurge on "the bag" I guess. And for joshbrookkate, it can only be re-generated so many times, then it has to be replaced. I believe when bleach no longer returns it to a crisp white

Only thing that worked for me was the bag. Everything else over time leaked a little at a time out till it is all gone.

Yup this bit me in the ass too. Some bags claim they work for purogen and they don't so be careful grabbing a third party as well.

The first bag I tested that was supposed to work with it sneaky me. I put it into the bag, rinsed it and poof it was all gone. Lol

If you are already using chemi pure. I believe chemI pure blue is elite + purigen

I just ordered some blue and will see how it goes.

Yes I believe ChemiPure Bags will work, if you have any old used up ChemPure. I have used it in it before and it worked, some very small pieces worked their way out but I would say 95% + stays, but the best is " the Bag ".

Bit the bullet and paid the outrageous price for The Bag. Woulda been better off buying two pre bagged 100ml. The purigen is working exactly as I remember/expected.

12 hours after (lighting set exactly the same):

Kinda busy last night and didn't have time to clean acrylic, but you get the idea.
