Hey Folks!

Has anyone kept one of these or currently keeping one of these in their reef tank? or any ohter types of sponges?
What are the important parameters for keeping these? Any cautions?
I do know they are filter feeders, requiring good flow and I am assuming supplimental feedings of Plankton?
Thanks!

Thanks Pistol!

I picked the sponge up yesterday at Living Aquarium. Rick was quick to point that out and he also took the time to show me how to remove it from the bag while keeping it submerged in my tank. Still have to settle on the best location for it in my tank to make sure it is getting lots of flow to help keep algae off it as well. Found some good information on line around keeping them.
I was looking to see if anyone on the forum had one . I'll try to get a pic on later today!

Thanks!
...Rick

They mostly inhabits cliffs and rock overhangs with good to high flow. They filter feed like was mentioned but it also uptakes dissolved organics from the water. I would keep it in a shady area as it doesn't like algae growing on it. These things attract hair algae like white on rice so keeping it out of direct light is important.
