so if you were to add them to your t5 what one would you buy ? I was thinking on 6 bulb 80w fixture so I’d need the reefbrite to be no more then 6’ , and would I need one or 2? Thoughts ?

Also are they powerful ?

I’d suggest running 4 blue plus, a coral plus and a purple plus. For the reefbrites it all comes down to how much you want to spend. 2 are better than one and one is better than none. Reefbrite xho’s are the best option but are quite expensive. I use the reefbrite techs and they work well, little cheaper than the xho’s. Be sure to get all blue reefbrites, no need for any whites

So would 6 bulb t5 be enough for mixed reef with some sps near the top ? Basically should I add a good reefbrite for more par? Or just get one for the shimmer and blue pop ?

i was running a 6 bulb t5 and it was good then I added a blue reef brite and my tank is so much nicer now. I would recommend one on either side of the t5 fixture as the reef brites don't have as much spread as t5.
