as some of you may be aware, I picked up a big beautiful, terrorized copperband. He settled into my tank, with the help of the smaller CBB, whose name is Rick grimes lol.

My Achilles tried to be a tough guy on the new CBB, but he got a face full of spines and decided to go elsewhere for entertainment.

Tonight, with bart84 and Bruce and his wife looking on, I put some nori on the clip and guess who was eating it, right behind the tangs and the fox face? Yes. My new CBB. He ate ALOT of nori.

Anyone see this before?

almost every fish will eat nori secretly at points..... to them it has the same effect as echinacea for us. it boosts the immune system and overall digestion ability plus helps alleviate impaction problems in certain species that love shelled creatures.(yes even triggers and tusks need to flush their system) this is why people that dont supply nori in their tank are allways prone to ich and similar diseases or parasites. plus theres something in the nori that helps create a thicker slime coat for them. if you look at pellets geared for carnivores its krill shrimp and fish meal for the most part but almost every brand and type has nori or spirulina added as well and they do major research on fish diet.

Sorry to hear, I guess you're right and just stay away from CBB's. You should get that Purple tang that guy has in Toronto nice and big 5" and eating well.
