Looking for some opinions on return pump selection, I have been looking for a wave line dc 12000 for my 120g peninsula build. The Lfs is having a hard time getting them in though, wondering what other people would suggest that would be another good option. I plan on running atleast one and possibly two reactors off my return.

I can have one shipped to you. If it's an emergency like your pump died I can have then ship next day delivery so you have before weekend if payed for before 2pm.

Send me a PM if interested.

I will be running bio pellet reactor and carbon reactor, also plan to add a separate refugium and frag tank in the future so i would like to keep my options open. Do you still think it will be too much?

The pump is controllable, touch of a button and there is less flow as needed. I run mine at 100%, mostly due to the head pressure though.

If you do plan on adding more things I think you are perfectly fine, like Torx mentioned, fully controllable.

It is adjustable. So probably not.
But keep in mind that the number one mistake with refugiums is that people push WAY too much water through them and render them ineffective.

The faster you pump water through the fuge. The less contact time it will have with the fuge. So you're not going to take any no3 or po4 out of your water.

Just my 2 cents.

Not saying people haven't had luck with higher flow. Just in my experience. Some of the lowest nutrient systems run fuges with minimal flow to allow time for algae, dsb, or what have you. Do the work it's intended to do.

Carbon reactor -500gph
Bio pellets - 300-500gph
Main tank - 500 gph
Frag tank 300-500gph
Fuge - max 750 gph
So I guess it's not too far off. Your call. I guess it isn't bad if you can dial it down and manifold the output to control flow to each.

Just seemed like crazy flow for just a 120dt is all
