So new T5 lighting system ordered....
Time to look at the return pump!!

I think i will run to a manifold with outlet for return to tank, and reactors.

I'm looking at the Jebao  6000 or 9000?

Previously i was always a mag drive guy.....

Your thoughts.

So no one can chime in here????

Is it worth the investment for a new DC style pump like the Jebao???
Or should i just get another Mag 9.5??

i have a dc12000 running for about 6 weeks now and i love it, super quiet and lots of power, you can play with the power, and the feed mode is very handy. i got it cause of recommendations from guys on here, alot of people here are getting them. if you search there a few threads on here about them. i would get a jebao over a mag for sure.

Maybe a silly question....
But the Jabeo 6000 at full power is 6000lph (1500gph)

Besides the manifold to run my reactors, what else would I ever require then return to my tank???
And that only needs to be 4-600gph.

That's why I was intending on getting the 6000 and saving couple bucks!

So this has been a productive week...  Purchased new 6 bulb T5 lighting system, Jebao 6000dc return pump,  and I splurged and got a jebao wp 25!  All that is left to buy..  ATO,  dual chamber reactor,  gfo ,  carbon and test kits!

personally, i would pass on a dual chamber and get 2 separate ones with maxijet pumps, shouldnt cost a whole lot more, but its much nicer to be able to adjust flow rates and change media etc etc.
i also would recommend tlf 150's,

This is what I was considering,  or 2 single chambers...  Are the others better?

I have that one.  It is nice, but like Brandon said, it would be nicer to have separate flows through them.  It is a real balancing act trying to get the right flow for both the carbon and GFO.  And I can never get the sponge that holds the carbon down to stay put.
I'd have to look, but I think it may be possible to separate them...

Edit: Yes, it looks like they can be separated. There is a nut between them.  I bet its a female to female fitting.  You'd have to turn them in the holder though.

...
Do you have the carbon in the upper or lower half of the canister? I keep in the upper half and I had no problems so far.
