Rubber Coating For Anything

well figure id throw it out there since it has alot of uses for us in our fish rooms and other things. since i am a manager/foreman for a general contracting company i have access to a liquified rubber product that we use for pretty much anything. it is 100% food grade safe once cured and is environmentally friendly and voc free making indoor use not a pain and an added bonus mould and mildew resistant. It also has an elasticity rating of 180% and is the death to the crappy epoxy floors of the past

it will bond to any unsealed concrete metal or wood without prepping just a quick sweep and your ready to go can be brushed or rolled on.

we use this commercially for parging, stucco and non slip flooring by mixing in silica sand to give texture but left plain is great for expansion joints and protective coating stands or other things. I can get it in different colours but have lots of black and white on hand that i could give a very good price for as we already get a discount.

This is not that cheap crap from crappy tire and will outlast your lifetime.

Hmmm.... I saw this commercial where a guy had his boat shot up by cannon balls which I assume were from pirates in the lake. He fixed the holes with a canned rubber thing and escaped to shore.

What we do for demos we inflate a balloon dip in rubber after hard pop ballon and fill with water 5x original size another is coating a paper boat which floats after.... that stuff in the can is similar but full of fillers that eventually break down our stuff is only available to contractors is alot cheaper and better ratings on all canadian standard testings you could duct tape cardboard paint this on and have a boat neo how about that

we do below grade waterproofing it requires a heavy duty airless sprayer to spray but i could arrange a good price and 15 yr guarentee since we need a demo job for website pics but if you wanted to do it yourself you could roll it on just need any loose dirt cleaned off

Bad timing on this thread!! I just bought a gallon of Liquid Rubber last week

Maybe I will just use it to give my stand a good coating, and I may contact you for some white paint to seal the floor with. Because I'm not sure the 1 gallon will do much more than the stand anyways and I want to seal the perimeter of the fish room possibly even the whole floor.

Yeah, my stand for the 150 has some rust on it. It needs cleaning and a coating applied to it before I set up the tank. It was recommended I do this to prevent further rusting of the stand. Problem.being the tank is sitting on the stand lol

just paint everything exposed and right up to the tank when time comes to move it it will peel off the glass easily

What supplier did you buy from there are alot of crappy liquid rubber products most are full of fillers to make cheaper the stuff we use is from europe and is one of the few without a bad rep but is only available to contractors that are certified but we are registered distributors of all their products..... hope it didnt cost you too much and a 5 gallon pail will do pretty well an entire basement floor

I work in a cheese plant. It's probably the same coating they applied to some of our floors with grit in it for slip prevention. Gr eat stuff. Takes a beating from steam cleaning and chemicals used to sanitize the equipment and floors.
I have a side by side duplex that has some bad parging applied and of course flaking. I'love definitely be talking to you about this product in the spring. It's a lot of area that needs to be done. Thanks Steve. Floors in the basement would be great done too. I know how tough this product is.

fyi for future that stuff is garbage only good for stand coating at most even then will start to blister after 5 years and the stuff i got is the same price about $30 a gallon just minus the pretty labels lol please dont use that on your floor i dont want to see the regrets that follow have already fixed a few

Most are epoxy floors this has come around the past five years were pretty well the only company in southern ontario doing it but builders have been calling us left and right lately as it has a quick application period compared to most products..... we installed a test patch 5 years ago in a receiving bay they literally drag forklifts across it all day and even now barely has any notable difference and if your ever around i have samples that are really fun to try and destroy i laugh every time someone tries to push a pen through cuz it takes everything you got to get it through and im not a small guy

I'love have to ask about out coating Steve. It was done within the last 5 years. It has silica sand or something similar in it. I think it's the same product. The tow motors run across it skids get dragged across it. Equipment moved over it all the time there has been no damage to it at all. It is an amazing product. Ours is an Adobe or light brick colour.
