At the Frag Swap I picked up a couple of frags from Glen aka Salty Cracker. One was definitely a Red Planet and the other was a "mystery frag" as they have settled in to my tank and started growing I am undecided as to whether or not they are the same coral.

So...Let's have some opinions...bear in mind that these are the side away from the light so they are both more green on this side and more red on the other...

RP for sure

Since they are small still growth patterns don't tell too much... The one thing that the Macro lens made apparent, that was not as obvious to the eye is that the mystery frag has much more red in the polyps but that may just be the frags adjusting to the lighting....

Bonus Eye Candy

A couple of TLC frags that I got from Jerry aka Unibob that have come around very nicely...

A nice Favia with a colored growing edge

This Chalice frag was pure white with a few brownish streaks in it...

Nice pics. The mystery coral almost looks like a "red convexa" I got off jroovers years ago, which Darryl said was a possible "PC rainbow acro". Which was sold to neopimp. So it's prob a nice white ordament now, and if not I would like to see a pic to compare.

Actually my red planet came from chuckm.
I do also have a piece of red convexa from darryl that right now is yellow with red tips, so it is possible as well. My RP doesn't have that much green in it. Ad was over the other day and it still may possibly be the SSC as it looks closer to what he's got, except both are just encrusting, we may not know until it starts to grow...

Both look the same to me. The Convexa I had came from Darryl also. Nice piece. Def don't think it is the convexa though.
