skimmate as fertilizer

has or does anyone use skimmate as plant fertilizer? /.//. i used to run an aquaponics system with my freshwater setup, but i doubt if its the same.,.,,,. any thoughts?/

Oddly enough, I wondered this EXACT thing yesterday.  Was doing chores, cleaned out the skimmer and this time it was solid gunk (have been skimming dry lately).  Not sure if the salt content would kill plants though, I kind of assumed it would.

Well I've got a bonsai tree that can be found anywhere in coastal regions, so I'll try it and let everyone know!
