Skimmer overflow!!!

So I just found my skimmer overflow and I'm assuming all the crap in the collection cup is now in the tank (I was wondering why my mushroom and other softies looked bigger).


So I be worried and if so about what?

Water change? Will dilute whatever junk is in the water.

This happens to me a handful of times a year........What I do is set the skimmer to skim very wet for the next week.  No major reactions that I have seen.....it does turn my sump into a dirty bubble bath though.

Yes they do but skimmers also pick up phosphates and both dumped back into a system after being built up for a week is Alot!!  This explained why my bubble Algee has jumped up in size!!
